According to legend, the ancestor of the guitar first saw the light of day in prehistoric times, when two children named Dongo and Danga discovered a way to vibrate the string of a bow by striking it with an arrow. This simple principle went on to give birth to several generations of stringed instruments. Today, the guitar is one of the most popular musical instruments in the world. It brings people together, accompanies songs, leads dances, and punctuates stories. Richard Léveillé shows us plenty of examples in styles including the blues, gypsy swing, tango, country, Spanish, Brazilian, French, English… and classical! A window on the passionate and vibrant world of the guitar and its many personalities!
