A recent graduate of The Juilliard School, Jonathan Estabrooks has been heard in recitals, concerts and operas in Canada, the United States and abroad. He has performed with the National Arts Center Orchestra under the baton of Pinchas Zukerman, and has sung at the Canadian Consulate in NYC for members of the United Nations and for the Governor General, Prime Minister of Canada and President Bill Clinton.

Jonathan Estabrooks has appeared with The New York Oratorio Society and with the Aldeburgh Connection. He has been featured in performances at Carnegie Hall, The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre and the Ethical Culture Society. This season, Estabrooks has appeared with the New York Festival of Song, Opera Lyra Ottawa, the Kennett Symphony of Chester County and the Israeli Chamber Orchestra as well as the National Arts Center Debut Recital series. In July 2010, he traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel to perform the role of Smirnov in William Walton’s The Bear.

Prominent operatic roles have included: Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Tarquinius in The Rape of Lucretia, Shaunard in La Bohème, Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Dr. Cajus in Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore. He has been soloist in Brahms’ Eine Deutsches Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs. Jonathan Estabrooks will make his Opera Lyra Ottawa mainstage debut as Silvio in I Pagliacci in 2011.
